Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Dissertation & IRB Evaluator (the "Service"), operated by Executive Business Advisors ("EBA," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

The Service reviews dissertation proposals and IRB applications against published University of Phoenix (UOPX) and APA guidance and offers recommendations. Pro plans also include AI-assisted revisions and a voice coach.

2. Guidance only

Results are informational guidance. They are not IRB approval, committee approval, or legal or ethical advice. The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the University of Phoenix. Your chair, committee, and IRB make all final decisions.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18, give accurate information, and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until canceled.
• Prices are shown at checkout, and applicable taxes may be added. We may offer promotional codes at our discretion.
• You can change or cancel your plan at any time in the billing portal. We will give notice before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Free trial. New accounts get 7 days of Basic features free, once per person. No payment card is required, and nothing is billed unless you choose a paid plan. When the trial ends, access stops until you subscribe. Pro features are not included in the trial.

If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again. Payments already made are generally non-refundable. If you were charged in error or believe a refund is warranted, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we'll review your request in good faith.

6. Pro fair use

Pro includes up to 90 voice-coach minutes and 30 "Fix with AI" or "Explain this finding" requests per billing month. Unused allowances do not carry over.

7. Acceptable use and academic integrity

You agree not to misuse the Service: no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling, sharing accounts, or uploading content you don't have the right to use. You are responsible for following your institution's academic integrity and AI-use policies and for reviewing any AI-suggested text before using it.

8. AI features

AI suggestions and coach responses can be incomplete or wrong. Check them against official guidance and your own study facts.

9. Your content

You own your documents. You give us only the limited permission needed to operate the Service, such as sending passages to the AI features you choose to use. See our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EBA is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we'll post the new version here and update the date above.
